is about, and what exactly we sell...well ponder no more, for
I am going to tell you.
We sell hand illustrated Book of Shadows and Journal
pages, most people have seen the awesome Book of Shadows from
the "Charmed" series. Well due to no small amount of
time and artistic ability Emerald Spider Art offers you the opportunity
to customize and personalize your OWN Book of Shadows or
journal via specially illustrated and printed separator pages
and blank bordered pages.

At the beginning of this year I decided to treat myself
to a fabulous handmade one of a kind Book Of Shadows, after much
research and thought I chose and purchased one from this fabulous
company. From
The Shadows.
After I had purchased it I set about, as I am a digital
fantasy artist planning and designing my own hand painted pages.
Purely as a curiosity I researched other makers and painters of
hand illustrated pages and found lamentably few people who offer
such a service. Also of those that do only 2 or 3 actually take
the time to illustrate by hand, choosing instead to use free domain
artwork and clip-art.
I also in my research found that most illustrated pages
contain spells and cover pages, there are very few blank illustrated
border pages for the more creative and literary Wiccans to record
their OWN spells/recipes/anecdotes on. This discovered after many
a discussion with my husband we decided that I was more than capable
as well as willing to offer this service and Emerald Spider Art
the idea was born
As already stated we offer printed pages for you Book
of Shadows or Journal/Album featuring my own hand painted and
illustrated designs. These come in Separator and Cover page styles,
as well as illustrated border pages with a large blank area so
you can add your own spells/recipes/anecdotes or whatever you
would like.
Versatility
When this site finally goes live we
will have a small amount of different designs for you to peruse
and choose from, these will include Cover/Separator pages and
in due time the corresponding blank bordered pages to match. Where
ever possible I will also have available blank banners on a Cover
Page. The title area will be left blank so you can decide which
part of your book it should illustrate. *I will of course add
a title after sale if you so wish*, for a modest fee.
This not only gives you a high choice
of versatility and customization, but also ensures that just because
you are buying illustrated pages, it does not automatically follow
that you will have a cookie cutter Book Of Shadows the same as
my other customers.
New Designs will be added so please
remember to check back of often..
As this is a new venture, we will start small...and
hopefully grow..
I will of course be adding new designs as I finish
painting them, so expect a wide variety of designs featuring a
wide array of creatures and characters. I am also in the future
hoping to add limited edition pages of only a few printings before
they will be retired, this gives even more scope for a more unique
Book of Shadows.
I also hope in the future to supply small Wiccan and
New Age stores, *any proprietor please contact
me to discuss ideas*, as well as hopefully opening a Cafe
Press style shop for T Shirts and Gifts and so on dependent on
the demand for my particular artwork.
